Servicing a Pressure Transducer
When to service
FizzWizz ships with a spare transducer in the box. You may need to swap it in if you overpressured the unit or got product or beverage inside it.
The steps
- Disconnect the FizzWizz from the power supply and remove the lead.
- Take the lid off (four crosshead screws). Careful: the buttons on the lid are wired to the circuit board underneath. Set the lid down to the side, still connected.
- You’ll see two transducers: the CO2 in transducer and the head pressure / bright tank transducer.
- They unclip easily. Pull out the small plastic clip, then push the collar and pull the plastic pipe out.
- On the new transducer, push the pipe in. About a centimeter of pipe must seat fully.
- Reinsert the clip and clip the transducer back onto the circuit board.
- Reattach the lid (mind the wires) and the four screws.
That’s the whole job.
